Formalities for Entering Cyprus A valid passport is required by all entering Cyprus for a period of less than 3 months, except EU nationals who may also enter Cyprus with a valid ID Card. Airports Visitors arriving by air may enter the Republic through the International Airports of Larnaka and Pafos. * Larnaka International Airport The airport is 72km (44 miles) from Lemesos * Pafos International Airport The airport is 96km (60 miles) from Lemesos. Ports Passenger and cruise traffic in Cyprus is served by the multipurpose ports of Lemesos and Larnaka on the south coast of the county. Lemesos & Larnaka Port The largest port facility on the island is situated in the western part of Lemesos town while a smaller port is situated in Larnaka in the East. Ferries connect Lemesos port with Greece, Israel, Egypt, Lebanon and close proximities of the eastern Mediterranean block. The port also serves as a base and stop-over for a large number of cruise ships conducting cruises in the region on a regular and frequent basis.
